A Tribute to Sarath Chandran”-
A renowned activist and film maker Documentary Film and
Discussion Sarath Chandran was born on 16 February 1958 and
had his education in MG College, Trivandrum and at Dharmadam.
During his student years, he was involved in the resistance
against “Emergency”.For Sarath, filmmaking was a political
act where cinema accomplished one of its most elemental of qualities:
to ‘document' the world before it and to bring those images back
to the people. He traveled extensively to create a network of
filmmakers, activist groups, and campuses in order to show films
and open up new horizons for youngsters and activists alike.
