This workshop offers you a day to take care of yourself. Come sample the various mindfulness practices used in the popular and scientifically-validated 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) courses. This day is designed with absolute beginners in mind, and is a very gentle way for you to experience for yourself what mindfulness and meditation are all about.
Led by Laura Martin, LCSW, who has been a social worker in the field of mental health for over 15 years. Her training to teach MBSR includes an advanced practicum with the Center for Mindfulness in Worcester, Mass. She has been practicing with the Zen Community of Oregon for several years.
