This year, we partnered with the San Elizario Genealogy and Historical Society for a two-day conference. We have invited award winning scholars, renowned historians as well as local indigenous leaders who will discuss their unique perspectives of the diverse peoples and cultures whose influences forever changed and came to define the American Southwest. All the topics and events are dedicated to promote and preserve the rich and beautiful history that make the colorful “Tapestry of Culture: the Illumination of Colors” that is San Elizario and the Paso del Norte Region.

The conference will culminate with the “Re-enactment of the First Thanksgiving of the Southwest” and continue with a celebration of music, food, exhibits and art. A proposed concise two-day program is attached. All events are free to the public with the exception of the Friday Luncheon, which will be catered and served for a small fee.
