It’s a snowy winter in Silver Bells, Colorado and a snow-slide has blocked the highway, temporarily delaying a group of travelers (the audience). The sheriff of Silver Bells has the stranded travelers holed up in the local VFW till the highway is cleared and the folks of Silver Bells take it upon themselves to entertain their unexpected guests. What results is a wonderful evening of festive storytelling and song that will delight one and all this holiday season.
Paige L. Larson and Richard H. Pegg pulled from holiday poetry, short stories and song to create “A Rocky Mountain Holiday.” The evening includes Dipping Day, a Swedish Holiday remembrance poem; Caroling in the Cotswolds an English Christmas story;Stubby Pringles Christmas, a cowboy Christmas story; The Loudest Voice, a Judeo-Christian comic holiday story, and musical numbers “Turkey Lurkey Time,” “Hard Candy Christmas,” “I'll be Home for Christmas” and “Santa Baby.”
Co-creator Richard H. Pegg said, “Everyone has a favorite story or song that they love to hear at Christmas, Paige and I took it a step further by collecting dozens and picking a select few, the result is “A Rocky Mountain Holiday,” a feast for the soul in the spirit of the season.”
The ensemble cast, under the direction of Robert Kramer, includes Jan Cleveland, Tim Fishbaugh, Jason Maxwell, Missy Moore, Boni McIntyre, Erik Siegling, and Wade P. Wood.
