Poets Joan Gelfand and Blas Falconer will read from their works.
Gelfand’s work has been published in over fifty national and regional publications. Her first book of poetry, Seeking Center: A Collection of Poems (Two Bridges Press, 2006) is “exquisite and breathtaking… reaching those secret places where we all overlap and long for validation.” Gelfand works as an arts administrator and is president of the Women's National Book Association. She will be reading from her new book of poems, A Dreamers Guide to Cities.
Blas Falconer is the author of A Question of Gravity and Light (University of Arizona Press, 2007). His works have appeared in literary magazines, receiving several awards. He is editor for Zone 3: A Literary Journal, and co-editor of two anthologies. Currently, he is working on a second full-length collection of poems, The Foundling Wheel.
