When Bob Jackson, a young Times Herald photographer, went to work on November 22, 1963, he had no idea the day would become one of the largest, most tumultuous news events of the 20th century. Today, his black-and-white photographs provide a unique perspective of the events at Love Field, along the motorcade route, at Parkland Memorial Hospital and at Dallas police headquarters, where he photographed Jack Ruby fatally shooting Lee Harvey Oswald, the accused presidential assassin.
