A Panel Discussion of Adult Adoptees
Please join us as young-adult intercountry adoptees discuss their
experiences, struggles and reflections.

Panel topics will include the following:
Identity and Culture:
Speakers guide the audience through their own struggles to define themselves and how being adopted from another culture affects their journey.
Race and Ethnicity in Childhood:
How do you deal with the mature and complex issues of race and identity before you even know what they mean? Adult intercountry adoptees reflect upon their own experiences of being of a different race in their family and community.
Also to be discussed: Interacting with non-adoptees from the same
ethnic culture, searching for birthparents, dating and relationships.
