As a prelude to A Noise Within’s highly anticipated move to a permanent new home in Pasadena next fall for the its 20th anniversary season, the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company takes a final curtain call in its Glendale location by turning the spotlight on itself for a special “Retrospective” benefit on three dates, Friday, June 3, 7:30 pm, Saturday, June 4, 7:30 pm, and Sunday, June 5, 2 pm. Performances highlight A Noise Within's (ANW) 19-year history and its growth from a storefront operation to one of the region’s most acclaimed theatre companies, followed by a champagne and dessert reception featuring a silent auction and sale of signed photographs by leading photographer James Moore documenting A Noise Within’s early history. Proceeds benefit A Noise Within.

The poignant and very personal “Retrospective” evenings feature ANW Co-Founders/Co-Artistic Directors Julia Rodriguez-Elliott and Geoff Elliott as well as many of the company’s lauded resident actors in a series of vignettes both humorous and touching that trace the company’s artistic arc. Created with input from subscribers, resident actors, board members and staff, the performances incorporate favorite theatrical moments and highlights of the last 19 seasons.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the entire A Noise Within family to share in the joy and success of the company we have all built together,” says Rodriguez-Elliott. “It has absolutely been a group effort, and we are proud to have been a part of it.”

Adds Elliott, “With the impending move to our permanent new home in Pasadena, we wanted to celebrate in particular the crucial role the Glendale venue has played in our history. We will forever be indebted to the De Pietro family, owners of the building, a former Masonic Temple, for their incredible generosity in providing us with a home for the classics from the company’s inception.”
