A Night with Luba Lukoba October 22, 2009

New York based artist and designer, Luba Lukova, will take us on a journey through her impressive body of work. She will share her process, her distinct use of visual metaphor and over 200 images of her work – ranging from early theatre posters and editorial illustrations, to her Social Justice series and gallery installations.

Her critically acclaimed Social Justice poster portfolio contains powerful visual reactions to many of today’s pressing issues, and includes the Health Coverage poster which was displayed in a prestigious exhibit at President Obama’s Inauguration.

Social Justice poster portfolios, containing 12 different designs from the series, will be available for purchase at the event for $35. An exhibition of Lukova’s work will be on display October 12 – November 4 at the Fairbanks Gallery, OSU, Corvallis, OR.
