Apres Bastille Day...
Leonard Pitt, historian, actor, and author of the newly translated, Walks in Lost Paris, will give a slideshow and talk on the splendors and miseries of one of Paris' most renowned districts.
Pitt provides the legends and lore of the Marais’s dramatic history --- from a posh aristocratic residence, to its slummy demise, to its recent resurrection as an artsy urban neighborhood.
Cara Black, author of five murder mysteries set in Paris including Murder in the Marais, will tell of the places of darkness and intrigue that she visited to create her characters, plot, and storyline.
