A fine bottle of wine compliments nearly every meal. California is the Mecca for delectable wine. Monday, August 27, you are invited to uncork an assortment of fine wines from some of California’s hottest new vineyards at Catalina Steakhouse’s “A Night in California” Wine Tasting. The tasting is set for 7pm and will feature six varieties of wine.
Quench Fine Wines presents, “A Night in California” offering a selection of wine from various regions of California. Here is a sample of what the evening holds:
• 2006 Foxglove Chardonnay (Edna Valley) hails from the Varner Winery located in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Foxglove is a no-oak chardonnay fermented on the lees for complexity.
• 2005 Klinker Brick Old Vines Zinfandel (Lodi) produces its Zinfandel from 30-120 year old vines.
• 2006 Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc (California)
• 2006 Miner Family Vineyards Viognier (Napa)
• 2005 Ten Mile Proprietary Red (California)
• 2005 Twenty Beach Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa)
Wines will be paired with a complimentary assortment of heavy hors d' oeuvres.
Andres Ramirez, Quench’s “Latin Dynamo” wine connoisseur, will be on hand throughout the evening to answer any questions guests may have on the selection of wines present.
