Santa Cecilia Orchestra under the baton of Music Director/Conductor Sonia Marie De Leon de Vega will perform an orchestra concert at Occidental College, Thorne Hall located at 1600 Campus Dr., on Sunday. April 20 at 4:00 p.m.
Sonia Marie De Leon de Vega is one of the most commanding figures in music in the region.
The program includes Handel: Concerto grosso Op. 6 no. 12 in b minor; Vivaldi: Bassoon Concerto no. 5 in d minor. RV 481; Marcello: Oboe Concerto in c minor; Part: Festina Lente; Dvorak: Serenade.

Julie Feves, bassoon soloist, is a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music. She has performed extensively as a soloist. The New York Times has praised her “virtuosic flair.” Sarah Beck, oboe soloist is a very active freelance musician, participating in chamber music concerts, symphonic performances throughout the Los Angeles area with orchestras such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic and San Diego Symphony.
Directions and Parking: Located in Northeast Los Angeles in the community of Eagle Rock: 1600 Campus Road, Los Angeles 90041. The nearest cross street is Westdale Ave. (the college is east of Westdale). Off the 210 freeway: Colorado/Figueroa exits. Off the 2 freeway - Verdugo Road exit.
Parking: From Westdale turn left at Campus Road and follow the signs to visitor parking, which is shortly after passing the first stop sign on your right.
