This moving historical drama is based on the true story of a young slave's journey throught the Underground Railroad to freedom. Freedom is a word whispered in the plantation fields by day and in the slave cabins at night. Stories of a railroad helping slaves cross to Free states in the North seem too good to be true to young Lida Anderson. But, with the help of a slave, Lida risks everything to be free. Leaving behind her family, friends and the only life she knows, she embarks on the dangerous journey out of slavery via the Underground Railroad.
