A Magical Evening of Irish Music and Stories with Aoife Clancy October 1, 2011

What can you say about someone like Aoife (pronounced "Eefa") Clancy that hasn't already been said. Born in Ireland's Carrick-on-Suir, Aoife has been making music since she got her first guitar at age 10 and by 14 was performing in the local pub with her father Bobby of the venerable Clancy Brothers. Since then she has recorded seven albums, toured the world and performed at Carnegie Hall and the Boston Pops

Those of you that saw her at Turtle Hill know what a gorgeous voice she has. If you're a Cherish the Ladies fan you know how well she blended that voice with the other members of that esteemed group of Celtic musicians. These days she continues to tour the world as an accomplished solo performer and we are very pleased to have her as part of our concert series.
