Between 1942 and 1944 a group of boys at the Terezin concentration camp-ghetto published 22 issues of a magazine called "Kamarad." This play dramatizes their hardships, their attempts to expose the true nature of Terezin, and the high-spirited, mischievous behavior of their daily lives. It also presents their writings and four songs, which were done during "festive eves" until October, 1944. At that time, they were transported to Auschwitz and other death-camps.
