A Live Hip Hop Edition of '93 Til with C+A Publik March 23, 2013

C+A Publik, a division of Cage + Aquarium, the premier event deejay, photography and live music service in Chicago, and Off the Chain Productions/Black Pegasus presents "Dres" Blacksheep: a special live hip hop edition of '93 Til! This will be a night of celebrating the Golden Era of hip hop including DJ vinyl sets, open floor for b-boys/b-girls and an up-close and live performance by "Dres" from the legendary Blacksheep Crew rockin' classics like "The Choice is Yours."

While Cage & Aquarium/C&A Publik enjoys music new and old, many members of the staff have a special soft spot for the "golden era" of hip hop as its influence began reaching the mainstream. Late 80s to 90s hits from De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Eric B and Rakim, BDP and more were the soundtracks to their lives and their vibe still resonates in music released today. '93 Til is a celebration of that vibe through music and video, showcasing artists from that time and new music born from their influence. Set at Jerry's in Wicker Park, '93 Til is celebration to chill or dance and enjoy the all 'round good feelings of the Golden Era.
