New Works for instrumental octet (winds, strings, harp, and celesta) inspired by Luigi Dallapiccola’s Piccola Musica Notturna (A Little Night Music). Featuring guest composer/conductor Peyman Farzinpour leading his own work, the premiere of guest composer Armand Qualliotine’s Solo Et Pensoso for soprano and ensemble (with performance faculty member Carol Mastrodomenico, soprano, as soloist), and works by Tufts composers John McDonald, David Molk, and Justin Tierney. Ensemble performers are drawn from the Tufts faculty and from Boston’s finest fleet of freelance musicians.
