Discuss the past and future of video gaming with Nolan Bushnell, Atari founder, engineer and entrepreneur. With 1972's two-player tennis game Pong, Nolan kick-started both the arcade and home console industries, and has been exploring their sociable side ever since.
Recipient of this year's BAFTA Video Games Fellowship, Nolan is now CEO of uWink Inc, whose restaurant customers order food, drinks and entertainment via touch screen terminals, and Chairman of the Board at NeoEdge Networks, who place advertising, social networking and community features in casual games.
Drawing on more than 30 years' experience of creating interactive and social entertainment technologies, Nolan has long questioned the stereotype of video gaming as a solitary activity - and what could be more appropriate than asking him about this in person?
