Founded in 1733, Georgia was the last of Great Britain's North American colonies. Nearly three centuries later it is the South's most populous state, an economic powerhouse located between the "Old South" along the Atlantic coast, and the "Deep South" along the Gulf of Mexico. Its decorative arts traditions reflect the diverse ethnicities of its peoples and the realities of their lives. This exhibition features Georgia-made objects that are new to the collection.
