A Heritage of Harmony January 30, 2009

In collaboration with the Sarvodaya International Trust – Maharashtra Chapter. This event, in observance of Martyrs` Day, has been organized by the Sarvodaya International Trust, which promotes the Gandhian ideals of truth, non-violence, peace, communal harmony and service. Prayer meetings were an important part of Mahatma Gandhi`s life. All religions and faiths were given equal importance in daily recitation of prayers. The prayers that were closest to Bapu`s heart have been compiled into a collection called Ashram Bhajanavali. Prayers will be sung in Gujarati, Urdu, Marathi, English, Sindhi and Bengali by well-known singers, Ashit-Hema Desai, Devaki Pandit, Ravindra Sathe, Natasha Collaco, Ghanshyam Vasvani and Alap Desai.
