Enjoy this Northfield Sesquicentennial Event:
The Northfield High School Gymnasium will come alive with toe-tapping tunes that may have been played at barn dances or in the early dance halls of Northfield.
Though fiddling is found in most cultures, it is as American as apple pie. This year's Northfield Public Schools District Orchestra Festival, A Fiddling Jamboree, is dedicated to Northfield's Sesquicentennial Celebration!
The program will feature traditional fiddle music and a jam session with parents and students. The Northfield High School Orchestra, under the direction of PAUL OUSLEY, will conclude the concert with Aaron Copland's Hoedown from Rodeo. Other directors of note involved in the concert that night are KIM EVANDER (Middle School), and SARAH NIMCHUK, (Elementary).
Don't miss this uplifting reflection on Northfield's musical roots!
