A Far Cry - Classical Orchestra February 23, 2013

The Corning Painted Post Civic Music Association welcomes A Far Cry, a tightly-knit collective of seventeen young professional musicians. A Far Cry has developed an innovative structure of rotating leadership on stage. By expanding the boundaries of orchestral repertoire and experimenting with the ways music is prepared, performed, and experienced, the group has earned a large international following. The Criers, as they are known, are based at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Working with local students through an educational partnership with the New England Conservatory, the group aims to pass on the spirit of collaborative music to the next generation.
