DENVER— The Byers-Evans House Theatre Company presents A Doll’s House by Henrik Ibsen. This Victorian masterpiece comes to the Byers-Evans House, located at 1310 Bannock Street in Denver, on November 16, with performances through December 15. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 6:00 p.m. Industry night is Monday, December 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Based in part on true events of the life of one of Ibsen's close acquaintances,A Doll's House follows Nora Helmer through her 19th century marriage. At the start of the play, good financial tidings promise a bright future for the Helmer family. However, when Nora's past begins to crop up in the form of an old childhood friend and a series of long-kept secrets, she will be faced with a choice that will change her life forever.

The show takes place in the music room of the historic Byers-Evans House Museum, amid the Evans family’s furnishings. The house serves as the stage and creates the atmosphere appropriate to the historic nature of the story. The museum has always supported local theatre by serving as a venue for various small companies.

All ticket proceeds help support museum programs, operations and education.
