Join this exciting hands-on, learn as you go crash course in decorating. Bring your decorating and design challenges to the workshop and we will solve them together as a class. Learn about fabrics, furniture placement, color, treating a window, lighting and patterns and texture. You will learn how to de-clutter a room as well as the importance of proportion and relationships among objects. You and your home will never be the same!
This course will give you the unique opportunity to express your creativity. If you are serious about making some changes in your living space, this crash course is for you. Homework and outside legwork is required in order to accomplish the process set forth in the beginning of the course. The first project is measuring your room or space and placing the measurements on grid paper to create the “all important grid.” You will then photograph your space to share with the class. Other assignments include gathering paint chips, spec sheets of furnishings, rugs or accessories such as lamps, pottery, pillows, etc. All assignments will be explained very thoroughly in class.
Class format will be hands-on participation and class discussion with a short lecture including visuals in each class.
