For hundreds of years, composers have written some of their most evocative music in response to the horrors of war, and some of their most uplifting for the intervening respites of peace. As a historical instrument of the military and a voice of the people, concert bands inhabit both sides. Join the UNC Wind Ensemble and UNC Symphony Band as they musically explore this range of emotions—from the tragedy of human conflict to the hope of reconciliation and renewal.
