BOSTON | One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish! Dr Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat dives into the New England Aquarium for a special event to celebrate the launch of the new PBS Kids show “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot about That.”
Join The Cat in the Hat costumed character for a marine life scavenger hunt and pictures with the family. There will also be Dr. Seuss book readings and a screening of the new television show aimed at introducing science to pre-schoolers. Watch the show before it premieres on PBS Kids.
The event takes place on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the New England Aquarium on Central Wharf in Boston. Screenings of “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That” will be held on the hour at the Aquarium’s Harborside Learning Lab. Admission is free to the screenings.
Aquarium guests, with an admission ticket, can also participate in games and activities inside the Aquarium all day long. A scavenger hunt will provide clues about different species in the Aquarium. Children who find all the clues will win a prize.
More than 1,100 prizes, including Horton Hears a Who books and Cat in the Hat bookmarks will be given away. One grand prize scavenger hunt winner will receive a complete set of Dr. Seuss Learning Library books, courtesy of Random House.
