Kathryn Smith, Associate Professor of Art History at New York University, discusses the 'Taymouth Hours,' a manuscript she argues was commissioned by a queen of England as a betrothal gift for a young princess. In the process Dr. Smith will help us understand the role of women in the Middle Ages as patrons and readers of luxury books.
