A Benefit to Support the Hospital Albert Schweitzer in Haiti Featuring January 31, 2010

Enjoy an evening of Haitian music in support of relief efforts in Haiti. There will be live music from the Haitian bands DJARARA and La Troupe Makandal. There will also be music recorded by Alan Lomax in Haiti (Harte Records). Proceeds from the show will benefit the Hospital Albert Schweitzer Haiti. It is the closest full-service hospital to Port au Prince, and currently has over 500 patients. The hospital is already overwhelmed and will need direct support to deal with the supplies and personnel needed for the coming weeks and months. A portion of the proceeds will also go to the musicians playing tonight who have family in Haiti.
