This year’s ceremony is dedicated to the “Greatest Generation” – World War II veterans – and their legacy of service and sacrifice they passed on to future generations of Americans.
Keynote speaker with be 101-year- old Captain James R. Mims, Jr. (USNR-Ret.) who will share his recollections of the invasion of the island of Okinawa in 1945. In 2011, Capt. Mims was recognized as America’s “Oldest Living Seabee.”
