Oakland based artist and illustrator Sacha Eckes debuts her "Life is Good" comic strip in the San Francisco Chronicle on February 9th.
The strip begins appearing in the premier issue of 96 Hours, a new weekly section.
"The section is a guide to your weekend, highlighting fun and off beat events around the Bay Area. Sacha's comic strip is the perfect match for the section, it's fun, witty and always a pleasant surprise. Her strip both celebrates and makes fun of the absurdities of life, " says Chronicle Art Director Matt Petty. "We are proud to have Sacha as a part of this new section."
See Sacha's art work and celebrate the launch of 96 Hours Friday, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., at 111 Minna Gallery (Minna @ 2nd Street, SF).
Entertainment provided by DJ Tofu (Wisconsin) aka Brion Nuda Rosch, and friends playing records they like.
