8th International Symposium in the Series Recent Advances in Plant Biotechnology: New Developments in Green Gene Technology August 31, 2009

Preliminary scientific program

The symposium programme includes invited keynote lectures (40 min.) and oral (20 min), as well as poster presentations (this timing includes the discussion). Selection of oral presentations will be made by the International Advisory Board on the basis of the submitted abstracts. The programme consists of six topics, each introduced by invited speaker:

1. Gene isolation strategies in the genomic era
2. In vitro culture systems: plant propagation
3. Gene technology to improve biotic and abiotic stress tolerance of crop plants
4. Transgenic plants for sustainable plant production: yield and bioenergy
5. Plant-based biotechnologies to support human health
6. Transgenes in environmentally friend agriculture, biosafety
