8th Annual BuskerFest August 23, 2007

Comedy, spontaneity and a dash of the unbelievable! Welcome to the wacky and wonderful world of BuskerFest 2007. The 8th annual BuskerFest will dazzle the historic St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood once again as more than 40 buskers from all over the world take over the streets in support of Epilepsy Toronto from Thursday, August 23 to Sunday, August 26 along Front Street, between Church and Jarvis.

For four days every August, more than 40 of the highest skilled and most entertaining street
performers gather in the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood to bring the thrill of world-class street theatre to Torontonians.

Buskers are gutsy street performers who fly by the seat of their pants - sometimes literally! They boldly take their astonishing talent right into the audience where spectator participation ensures every show is
just a little different. Witness some of the most energetic and creative entertainment imaginable, from the delicate balance of traversing a slack rope,on a unicycle, while juggling, to the athletic feat of flying on a skateboard through a blazing star of fire. With their quick wit and stunning feats of the incredible, these performers know how to draw a crowd.
Between sets, sample a bevy of gastronomic delights or stroll the avenue of artisans and take in the sights and sounds of roving musicians, stilt walkers, human statues, chalk artists and much, much more. For the kids, there are lessons in magic and balloon twisting, and after dark, the streets are ablaze with fire and the already off-beat comedy gets a little more twisted. August 23 to 26, in the historic St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood - Front Street between Scott and Jarvis Streets.

Admission is FREE, with a voluntary donation in support of Epilepsy Toronto - dedicated to the promotion of independence and quality of life for people with epilepsy and their families throughout this community.
