8th Annual BrewFest September 19, 2009

For the eighth year in a row, Two Harbors in Catalina Island is offering a festival for micro brews. Much like the very popular WineFest in the beginning of the summer, the BrewFest offers over 20 microbreweries with their best offerings. Appetizers,including Mad Mike's sausages, a silent auction, and music by the popular Yvonne Perea Band will be aplenty.

Tickets are $30 presale, $40 from September 17until the day of the event. Tickets include a souvenir beer glass for the unlimited beer that your going to enjoy(until it runs out!), complementary appetizers and music. For the non-drinkers, tickets are $15, which include appetizers and enjoyment of the music. To buy tickets, call Two Harbors Visitor Services at (310)510-4205

There will be Catalina Express boats that can get you to the island and back on the same day if you don't want to spend the night in Two Harbors. To make reservations, call (310) 519-1212. The Catalina Express leaves from San Pedro only to make it into Two Harbors. If you are coming into Avalon, the Garibaldi leaves at 11am and will return that day. Boat tickets are $30 round trip. Make reservations by calling Visitor Services, and make them quick because seats will sell out.
