This is the "2nd Saturday" monthly photowalk of Lincoln, Nebraska Flickr users. Individuals from all places are welcome, any time.
Join us for the Haymarket Farmers' Market. Meetup on the northwest corner of 8th & P Streets (by the Indian Oven, near the firetruck) at 10:00 a.m.
The bell rings at 8:00 a.m. Feel free to come earlier for that, early selection of produce, or for some coffee on the dock at The Mill.
Admission is free. Parking may be a challenge, so you might consider carpooling? Market details here.
At noon, we'll head to El Potrero (8th & Q Streets) for lunch, margaritas (optional), and the best of socializing. :)

I might be able to make it, depending on how hot it will be. I can't wait to get yelled at by another artist this time.
I want to be a part of this group, but I have a baby shower to host that day! Learned of this group by reading the paper in the Journal today. I am somewhere between the grandma taking photos of the grandchildren (I have 3 and one more in 2 months and I'm a scrapbooker) and the grey area, I take engagement, wedding and senior photos for friends and family for little or no money! I would love to get involved with this group! home email cmhodge@neb.rr.com Cindy
Welcome, Cindy.
Andrew, I hope you can make it. I am trying to remember all the details of you getting "chewed out" that last time we were @ the market (over a year ago!)... We all you know you come to cause TROUBLE. ;)
I was ill and had to miss the last one....keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the one!
Of course I'll be there. I first discovered this group a year ago by running into it at the Farmers' Market! Kind of an anniversary, full-circle kind of thing. :)
I didn't upset any of the vendors last year, maybe I can try harder this time! :)
I am new...learned from LJS...I really wish I could go, but that day is my anniversary and it would be my last if I went on the 9th. I am very interested in getting involved...email me with any comments... jeff_carrel@yahoo.com
Hi, I'm new to the flickr would it be ok if I come to your next flickr walk. Will you have a sign that says flickr walk because I don't know anyone in the group.
ToniMarie@yahoo.com
We don't usually have a formal sign, but really it generally isn't very hard to find us. Just show up at the meeting point (listed above) and look for all the people with cameras! Either there's a celeb in town and you've stubmled upon the Paparazzi, or it's us. : )
Good morning. After reading the article in the LJS, I would love to join the group. Looking forward to the 9th. Thanks! And I would like to know what to do to AVOID having an artist yell at me. I don't do well with conflict. :-)
I will be there, as I think a friend as well. I have been an AVID (make that obsessed) photobug since returning from a 6 month sabbatical in France and then retiring last year. I am taking classes at SCC (Photo 4 now) and anxious to learn more from this group. As I understand these messages, I just have to show up on Sat - let me know if there are any other things I need to do - looking forward to it!
I guess it is obvious from the name on the above comment that I am techno challenged in computer usage (and only slightly better in camera usage). I signed up on my account as "Pistache" which is what my husband called me in France and I thought the names were maybe anonymous. However, I usually answer to "Susan" - I guess I have answered to worse than "You" in my life! Geez...if I didn't want to do this so badly now I would be too embarrassed to come!

At first I was all like "Aww man, I have to work on Saturday" but then I was like, "OH, it's early in the morning, and I don't have to work until like...afternoon!" and then I was like "Cool!" See you guys there :)
Awesomeness! I am excited to meet all the new folks... A little overwhelmed, too. :)
I have a new batch of schwag from Flickr, which arrived today. So there will be stickers and pins for all. If you miss the 10 a.m. meetup by the fire truck, just look for a pair of pink and blue balloons floating through the crowd. :)
I just found out I will be attendig a funeral on Saturday morning so can't make it after all. I think my friend is going to the funeral as well, but we will BOTH definitely be at next month's walk - sorry to miss this one - lots of photo ops available at the Farmers' Market!
Sorry gang... won't make it this time. Hubby is out of town and I have the kiddos. They LOVE the farmers market, but I know from past experience that if they are along, I will spend most of my time chasing them and getting frustrated because what I really want to do is shoot. Hava a great time!
Rats, guys! Woke up to an electrical problem this morning and the electrician can't get here till about 10:00. If he's really quick I'll see you at the Haymarket, but there's a good chance I won't make it. At least the computer is still up so I can Flickr from home.

I love going to Haymarket on Saturdays! Hopefully we won't have this scorching heat by then!
