8/28 Flickrwalk: Lincoln Zombie Walk August 28, 2010

This is the monthly photowalk of Lincoln, Nebraska Flickr users. Individuals from all places are welcome, any time.

It's Zombie Walk time again! A zombie walk is an event where a group of people dress as zombies and walk around somewhere. For the past 3 years, the Lincoln zombie walk has taken participants through downtown Lincoln and parts of UNL's City Campus.

In addition to the usual zombies and victims-to-be-turned-into-zombies, this year there will be a military that eventually gets turned to zombies. Good times!

I haven't run across a map yet, but find the route and post it here and choose a good starting location.

While they don't apply directly to us, please read the rules for the participants. It's all pretty much common sense, but violating them could put future zombie walks in jeopardy.

The actual zombie walk is from 7:30 to 8:30. From 5:30 to 5:50, the zombies will be outside learning the dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller, which I'm sure will make for some good photo opportunities.

As many know, we often go somewhere for food after the walk. Since there's a nice break between the Thriller stuff and the actual walk, we will have food before the walk this time. As always, it's not required that you come and eat to be able to go on the walk.
