The Junior League of Richmond will hold its 7th annual Touch a Truck Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with early admission for a VIP Hour beginning at 9 a.m. Touch a Truck offers children a hands-on opportunity to explore their favorite trucks and professional vehicles, and to meet the people who build, protect, and serve the community. Some of the vehicles featured in the past have included police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, construction trucks, bulldozers, dump trucks, utility bucket trucks, and tractor trailers. Touch a Truck also includes activities such as snack bars, bounce houses, games, area mascots, crafts, and a bazaar of local vendors. Over 3,000 people attended the event last year helping the League to raise over $20,000 for its programmatic work with children and families in the metro Richmond area.
