The Goat and the Feather

Essy Redbird and Shane Fairchild met in Oakland in 2011 and almost dropped out of school. Their collective sound is a bit of the dustbowl, the surreal, and the countryside with a smattering of power, sex and wilderness for good measure. They climb mountains and tell stories and get dirty and do stupid things, then they write songs to leave it all behind them.

Eli Conley crafts intricate Americana songs from the raw material of his life as a gay transgender man with Virginia roots. He is a powerful live performer, armed with expressive fingerstyle guitar chops, a nimble tenor voice, and an ever-growing collection of songs. Eli will be joined for this show by Ashley Wai'olu Moore on harmonies, 12-string and dobro.
