Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the Organizers, we cordially invite you to attend the 6th International Congress on Pigments in Food: Chemical, Biological and Technological Aspects to be held 20-24 June, 2010 in Budapest, Hungary.

After five successfully organized congresses, starting in Sevilla, Spain (1999) and passing through Lisbon, Portugal (2002), Quimper, France (2004), Stuttgart-Hohenheim, Germany (2006) and Helsinki, Finland (2008), the sixth event will be held in Budapest, the Capital of Hungary.

The most important aim of the congress is to offer a possibility for meeting and discussion for scientists dealing with different aspects of food pigments, such as pigment chemists, food chemists, food technologists, agriculturists, nutritionists, but also industry people from all over the world. We hope that this Congress will be a joinable opportunity to get new information on the current topics, to discuss the most important scientific problems concerning the topic and during the social programs to find new friends. Invited Keynote and Short Oral Lectures, and Posters presented by scientists from both the academic and industrial areas will form the high-level scientific program. To keep up with the achieved standards, each contribution will be peer-reviewed by international experts. Based on these recommendations, the scientific committee will decide upon acceptance.

To inspire PhD students for high level of contribution, the organizing Committee will select the best abstract for oral lecture in every section.

Besides the scientific aspects of the Congress, our guests will have every chance to enjoy the hospitality and the beauties of our historic capital. May we wish everyone a memorable stay in Budapest, with new ideas from your own research and fruitful new personal contacts.
