The Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco is proud to present the exhibition “Libero Cecchini: 65 Years of Contemporary Architecture to Protect Nature and Archaeology”, with special thanks to Benedetto Cico, President of Travel Holdings Inc.
The opening will be on November 4 and will include a piano recital by Italian pianist Daniela Novaretto (see below for details.)
Since 1945 Libero Cecchini has practiced architecture guided by the desire to respect and protect the existing buildings and the natural features of the landscape.
His work has always highlighted the beauty of nature and the significance of archaeological ruins, making it possible for residents and visitors alike to enjoy and appreciate how the past survives and still influences the present.
His urban spaces, private residences and public buildings have improved the life of the communities and created a long standing bond with their residents.
Reconstruction, renovation, restoration, research and development of new materials and construction techniques, interior design, urban planning, and much more, make Libero Cecchini a true “maestro” of his profession and a guiding example for generations of architects in Italy and abroad alike.
