Breakthrough in collaboration with Habitat World at The India Habitat Centre presents the 5th Tri Continental Film Festival, India 2009 showcasing 28 films from more than 20 countries which are screened with an endeavour towards expanding the visual platform for human rights issues from the global South thus encountering and exploring the narratives of exploitation, violence, destitution, apathy as well as internal turmoils of real people who are at the core of these films which include The American, Up The Yangtze and Under Construction, for the day.
