Rocky Mountain Alley Cat Alliance (RMACA) hosts the fifth annual Stray Cat Strut on May 7, 2011 to benefit The Feline Fix – RMACA’s high quality, low cost spay/neuter clinic for feral, stray and tame cats.
“The clinic enables us to offer a humane solution to cat overpopulation,” says Executive Director, Amy Angelilli. “With The Feline Fix, area cat guardians have easy access to affordable spay/neuter surgeries. More than 24,000 cats are euthanized in Colorado annually which makes this service so important.”
This year’s event isn’t your mother’s fundraiser! RMACA has turned the event on its head in an effort to engage more people. New this year is:
• The venue – Casselman’s Bar & Venue at 2620 Walnut Street in NoDo
• An open bar – from 6 to 7 p.m.
• Appetizers, dancing and a Wine Wall where guests try to win their favorite wine
The Strut still features a silent and live auction filled with fun items such as a South African safari, local wine tasting tours, a Breckenridge stay and many other fun experience packages.
The event is Saturday, May 7 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Casselman’s Bar & Venue, 2620 Walnut Street. General admission is $35 (or $40 at the door). For reservations, go to www.rmaca.org or call 303.202.3516.
About Rocky Mountain Alley Cat Alliance
In July of 2009, RMACA opened The Feline Fix – Colorado’s only high quality, high volume spay/neuter clinic for cats. Since opening its doors, The Feline Fix has spayed/neutered more than 6,000 cats. Proceeds from the Stray Cat Strut will go toward subsidizing surgeries for feral, stray and tame cats in an effort to humanely address cat overpopulation in our community. For more information about the Stray Cat Strut, or about RMACA, call 303.202.3516, or go to www.rmaca.org.
