The Fifth Annual Occidental Fools Day Parade
Come join the beautiful hamlet of Occidental on Saturday, April 4 at 2 pm as it awakens to spring with The Fifth Annual Occidental Fools Day Parade! Dust off your silly-bone and bring your funny friends and family out for a day of laughter and levity in lovely Occidental. But come prepared to smile till your cheeks hurt! This year’s theme is “Fins, Feathers and Fur!” Group entries are ENCOURAGED! WARNING: Grumps and frowners may be transformed!

The parade originated several decades ago as Occidental Silly Day and was resurrected five years by local musician Kate Price as a way of celebrating this unique and beautiful arts community. This year’s parade is sponsored by LunaVerse Music, Hand Goods, Occidental Arts and Ecology Center, Trance formation, Magnolia Studio, Redwood Arts Council, Renga Arts, Carlisle Holland D.O, Revival, James Pelican and the Occidental Chamber of Commerce.

There will be an after parade party in the town square with live music and a sidewalk sale!
