The 2010 Sausalito Art Festival returns to Sausalito’s postcard-perfect waterfront for its 58th annual celebration on Labor Day weekend – Saturday, September 4 through Monday, September 6. The West Coast’s premier Labor Day weekend event showcases the prized works of nearly 300 of the finest artists across the U.S. and abroad, with more than 20,000 museum-quality, original works of art including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, fine glass, woodwork, 2- and 3-D mixed media and photography. More than 32,000 fine art and music lovers flock to the Sausalito Art Festival each year to enjoy a world-class collection of art, top-name entertainment, fun activities for children, great food and wine, premium beers, and a fantastic silent auction. Headliners at this year’s festival include The Bangles, The Fixx and Modern English on Saturday; Dave Mason, The Tubes and Pablo Cruise on Sunday; and Jefferson Starship, Mavis Staples and Sons of Champlin on Monday. Proceeds from the Sausalito Art Festival support local arts and community non-profits through grants, artist awards, scholarships, and community service programs.
