57 Varieties open stage / variety show January 15, 2008

For years now, every month that I'm in town to make it happen (dozens of times so far!) I make an effort to get a little space together to allow people to expose themselves to different things, brush up on new performances and workshop unproven material. It's a community service of sorts, but only if the community actually turns up for a serving. Since there's no sign-up, I never know even myself quite what we're going to get -- all I know is that things will probably open and close with a squeeze of the old bellows. Everything in between is up to the patrons.
