The 55th annual Pancake Festival is Saturday, February 9 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Local volunteers from the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland will be up early to serve all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee in hangar #2 at Tiger Town, 2301 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland.
From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Blue Bell Ice Cream will be hand dipping and serving its signature Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream free to guests at the Pancake Festival.
In addition to food and fellowship, there will a plant sale, an exhibit by the Lakeland Police Department and a bounce house for kids.
Tickets for the Pancake Festival are $5 in advance or $6 at the door, and proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland. Advance tickets may be purchased from Kiwanis Club members or at these Lakeland locations: Lakeland City Hall, 228 S Massachusetts Ave.; BB&T Bank, 4420 US Highway 98 N.; and Two Men and a Truck, 4406 South Florida Ave, Suite #27.
