A RIPE Meeting is a 5-day event where Internet service providers, network operators and other interested parties from Europe and the surrounding regions gather.
RIPE Meetings are open to anyone. Although the meeting is primarily technical, it is also a social event in the sense that it gives people who communicate frequently on an electronic basis a chance to meet face-to-face to exchange information. For this reason, extended lunch periods and frequent coffee breaks are scheduled during the meetings. There are also several opportunities for attendees to socialise after the Working Group sessions
