Three clowns fight for the right to play the lead role of Macbeth in a 70-minute performance that takes audience participation and unpredictability to a new level. 500 Clown’s circus skills and unbridled physical comedy antics make Macbeth’s descent into madness “as riotous as it is riveting.” Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available during the performance. 500 Clown Macbeth will be presented November 30 through December 3. Please visit www.claricesmithcenter.umd.edu for performance dates and times.

Tickets are $30, and $7 for students with student ID.

Join a panel discussion exploring the inter-dependence of performance comedy and the audience prior to the opening performance of 500 Clown Macbeth’s 4-day run on November 30 at 6:30PM in the School of Music’s Lecture Hall Room 2200.

You can also participate in a workshop with members of 500 Clown, exploring communication, partnering, improvisation and audience participation. Some theatrical experience is recommended. The workshop will be held on Saturday, December 2 in Rehearsal Room #3736, and runs from 10AM to 1PM. Space is limited for this event, so interested individuals must RSVP to Madeline Bell at mbell1@umd.edu to register.
