4th Annual Soulard Oktoberfest
The Soulard Oktoberfest Benevolent Association (SOBA) has announced the dates for the 4th Annual Soulard Oktoberfest. St. Louis’ most authentic German festival will take place on Friday, October 5, Saturday, October 6, and Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the Historic Soulard Market Park at 8th and Lafayette Streets.
Expanding on the phenomenal success of the past three Oktoberfest celebrations, SOBA has once again invited the Multiple Grammy Winning, multi-talented quintet, Brave Combo, to entertain the crowd for a two-night engagement. Expect attendance to break all records set by the crowd-pleasing combo again this year. The 4th Annual Soulard Oktoberfest will also welcome back America’s Number 1 German Festival Band, die Schlauberger (dSb). Last year, dSb kept the standing room only crowd up and dancing the evening away in the German Tent.
Rounding out the musical trio of headliners is Wielenbacher Musikanten direct from the Bavarian Region of Germany. This authentic German band will entertain and inspire audiences of all ages.
The 4th Annual Soulard Oktoberfest will offer something for every age group. The entire family will enjoy strolling through the Family German Village. There will also be a kid’s carnival and the organizers are developing other family-friendly activities.
An authentic German Oktoberfest would not be complete without great German food and beers and the 4th Annual Soulard Oktoberfest will offer plenty of the necessary ingredients throughout the grounds and in large tents patterned after those used in Munich, Germany.
The 4th Annual Soulard Oktoberfest will begin on Friday, October 5 at 6:00 pm until midnight and run from 11:00 am to midnight on Saturday, October 6 and 11:00 am to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct 7.
Join the crowd as Soulard says Wundebar! to St. Louis.
