The Fourth Annual Phoenix Music Awards will be held Saturday, April 30, at The Saltmine Studios, in the heart of the Mesa Arts District (48 South Macdonald St, Mesa 85210). The red carpet begins at 5:30 p.m. and the Phoenix Music Awards show hits the stage at 7:00 p.m.

The Phoenix Music Awards were founded in August 2007 by LA Music Awards Co-Executive Producer and Arizona native, Susanna Griffie, together with Al Bowman, Founder and Co-Executive Producer of LA Music Awards and Hollywood F.A.M.E. Awards.

A total of 30 Arizona artists/bands, and 9 national music acts from around the country will be honored with awards - in addition to the Career Achievement Award Winners and other awards recognizing community service and artistic achievement.

This year's Career Achievement Award Honorees include legendary music producers David Kershenbaum and Ron Nevison, as well as Robert Mason (lead vocalist of Warrant & Lynch Mob) & producer Ryan Greene (Megadeth, Jay-Z, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Gladys Knight, Tonic, NOFX, Lagwagon, Cheap Trick, Lita Ford, Authority Zero, Strung Out, Patty La Belle, Dishwalla), music journalist Niki D'Andrea - as well as the producers of Sedona, the movie, which recently premiered at the Sedona Film Festival, and will be honored with an award at the PMAs.

The Phoenix Music Awards is the only red carpet event honoring independent music artists here in Arizona. It was founded by Al Bowman, who created the LA Music Awards in Los Angeles 21 years ago - which continues to be a respected and well-attended event, and which was the first red carpet event for independent musical artists ever in Los Angeles.

The show features performers from across the country, including Phoenix artist, Willie Ames. Other performers include: Sabastian Roberts (National Record of the Year), The Lost Boys (National Rock Band of the Year), Brian Lawrence (National Male Singer Songwriter of the Year), American Greed (National Rock Single of the Year), and others.

Artists were selected through electronic submission of music via reverbnation.com and sonicbids.com. Over 400 artists and bands from Arizona submitted their music, and 30 were chosen to be honored with an award. Arizona artists from Yuma, Tucson, Flagstaff, Phoenix, Prescott, Sedona and Cottonwood will walk the red carpet on April 30th, along with fellow honorees from across the U.S.

Event sponsors include Rainbo Records, JDMRubbings.com, Reverbnation.com, The Saltmine Studios, Krank Amps, Homage Records, BigRollingAds.com, BFM Digital, IS Vodka, and College Times magazine.

General admission tickets are $35 and can be purchased via PayPal. For more information, please call the PMA offices at 623-266-6012, or e-mail Susanna Griffie at sgriffie1@yahoo.com. www.phoenixmusicawards.com
