84 T Street NW
Washington, District of Columbia 20001

Bringing neighborhoods and community together, the 4th Annual North Capitol Main Street Festival will take place on Sunday, October 7th from 11 a.m.to 8 p.m. on T Street, between 1st Street and North Capitol. Featuring a pig roast and buffet with good eats provided by local establishments Rustik Tavern and Boundary Stone, a beer and wine pavilion, local vendors, music and a scavenger hunt with a chance to win big prizes, this year’s celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever before. With generous support from the Department of Small Local Business Development, this year’s festival is a celebration of neighborhoods past, present and future.

Over twenty local vendors will set up shop along T Street NW in the Bloomingdale neighborhood, featuring smoothies from Windows Market and delicious treats from Uncle Chips. Live music will fill the streets throughout the day, including a live jazz band, a DJ and rock band. Undoubtedly, the main event will be the 300 pound roasting pig, cooked 28 hours to perfection. Hungry attendees can participate in the buffet for $10 per plate. In addition to the pig roast, the buffet will feature vegetarian options and plentiful sides. Alcohol will be sold individually for $5 in the alcohol pavilion, including local craft beers and wines including favorite DC breweries, DC Brau and Chocolate City Brewery.

A highlight of this year’s festival will be a mind-numbing Scavenger Hunt with incredible prizes. The hunt will begin on September 25th where clue-hungry participants can scout neighborhood businesses searching for a total of 8 clues. These clues will be used to complete a quote by a famed neighborhood resident and must be submitted by Saturday, October 6th, by emailing the entry to ditonp@gmail.com. By submitting the correct quote, participants will be entered to win a total of five amazing prizes, which include Nationals baseball playoff tickets, a case of mixed wines, gift cards to Boundary Stone and Rustik and many more. If only one correct entry is submitted, that winner will take home all of prizes—encouraging participants to keep the secret, and win big time!
